Open Your Eyes is a collection of photos and household pieces that document fear passed on through time and generations. The audio is a collection of repeated sounds used to remind listeners to pay attention to what’s around them. Through this residency program, the artist explored the research and media on prolonged amounts of fear and its significant effects on the human nervous system. The artist also wanted to explore the feelings of fear and soothing; could both feelings coexist with one another?
